You have to be inspired during your weight loss journey. We all have our vision of losing weight, whether its losing weight to fit in your old jeans again or to wear a nice bikini for summer vacations or for your wedding or just for all of the health benefits. No matter what your reasons are for following 5:2 Intermittent Fasting Diet;keep your goal in mind and stay focused.
First of all you have to set realistic goals for FastDiet success, “If you set unattainable goals, such as losing 30 pounds in just a few weeks, you’re setting yourself up to fail,” says Ann Kulze, MD, author of Dr. Ann’s 10-Step Diet. Instead, you’ll be more likely to stick with a diet if you “focus on your health and create sensible eating strategies,” Setting smaller, attainable benchmarks, like losing 5 pounds or a single dress size, will give you the confidence to continue.
Be patient, you have a better chance at keeping the weight off if you lose it slowly. Sometimes, your brain can be your own worst enemy, you can do anything, it’s your brain you have to convince! Keep yourself mentally sharp and thinking positive thoughts; try visualizing your new you. To make visualization easier, choose one of your old photos where you look slim, or maybe the picture of someone who inspires you. Place it somewhere you can see it often, your night table, your fridge door, your office desk, etc. This visualization technique usually works for many people, seeing is believing! Before we can believe in a goal, we first must have an idea of what it looks like. To paraphrase the old adage: we must see it before we can believe it! Do what feels comfortable and natural for you, and always remember: Slow and steady wins the race!
